Wedgewood Homes launches a Plant-a-Tree Program
Wedgewood has long prioritized making investments to better the communities in which they operate. Now, through TreeLC, Wedgewood is planting trees in the yards of Wedgewood Homes. These trees enhance curb appeal and lead to many benefits, including enhanced air quality, heat island reduction, energy savings, reduced noise pollution, and other climate-related advantages.
"Sustainability has been a core value of Wedgewood since it first launched in 1985, so we're thrilled to continue these efforts with this new program that will not only add value to the homes we renovate but also enhance the communities in which we work," said Jamie Bender, Senior Vice President of Wedgewood Homes.
TreeLC joins Wedgewood’s ongoing environmental impact initiatives, including xeriscape landscaping for lower maintenance and reduced water usage, plus energy-efficient lighting and appliances. In addition, their environmental commitment extends to their Redondo Beach, California, headquarters, which offers access to electric car charging stations and solar-powered carports.
